Privacy
Roko is designed to work without an account. Your profile, measurements, weight history, settings, and saved chat history remain on your iPhone unless you deliberately include information in a message to Roko’s AI assistant.
Information stored on your device
The app stores your name, date of birth, height, selected calculation sex, goals, weight entries, preferences, onboarding answers, and chat history in local app storage. This information is not synced by Roko to an account or Roko-operated cloud database. You can delete it from Settings in the app or by deleting the app.
AI assistant requests
When you send a message to the AI assistant, Roko sends the message, limited recent conversation text, and a current coaching profile to Roko’s server. That profile can include your name, age, height, current, starting, and goal weights, goal progress, BMI and estimated body-fat percentage, preferred unit, selected calculation sex, goal, pace, lifestyle, and workout frequency. Roko does not send your date of birth, complete weight history, blockers, or previous-attempt answers. The server forwards the request to Google Gemini solely to generate a reply and does not intentionally persist message bodies or profile payloads. Google processes API data under its applicable Gemini API terms and data-use settings.
Operational and security data
The server processes a random installation identifier, IP address, request timing, and basic technical headers to enforce abuse prevention and rate limits. Identifiers used for rate limiting are hashed before storage. Rate limit counters expire automatically. We do not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Sharing
We share information only with infrastructure providers and Google Gemini needed to operate the requested feature, when required by law, or to protect users and the service. We do not sell personal information or health information.
Health information and estimates
Body-fat percentage, BMI, trends, and coaching shown by Roko are estimates for informational purposes. They are not medical measurements, diagnoses, or substitutes for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
Children
Roko is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent information to the AI service, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
